The Dance of the Temporary and Permanent

An exploration on changing space and light.

Spatial - Light- Film- Photography - Spaces

Within this project I explored the idea of interventions and changing spaces. My final object, an accumulation of various experiments and different forms of research, is a window panel that folds out, dividing a room, through a physical textile panel but also creating different moods through lighting. It takes place in the context of my dorm room which was incredibly small and confined but also had to perform many different tasks: a study space, a bedroom, a lounge and an occasional dinner table. I presented the project in a set of photos and a video.

The phases of the project were research and observation, reiterative and intuitive prototypes and experiments, and filming and photographing space.
